Since we are two years out, the majority of release dates announced are franchise, animated or existing property films. Top franchises, including Spider-Man, Transformers, James Bond, Planet of the Apes, and Journey to the Center of the Earth, all have sequels coming out this year. Superheros will once again play a significant role on the screen too – with films such as X-Men Origins: Deadpool, Green Lantern, The Flash, Captain America, and even Stretch Armstrong. A sequel to DreamWorks animation adventure How to Train Your Dragon will be released in June. A month before, Disney’s Pixar Animation Studios will unspool The Good Dinosaur.
